Choryo Brew Park, operated by Choryo Shuzo in Koryo Town, Nara, has announced event information for the cherry blossom viewing season. According to the announcement, it will run "Sakura Week" from Wednesday, April 1 through Wednesday, April 8, with special hours on weekdays as well.

In addition, the weekend of Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5 will feature the "Sakura Festival." The guide says there will be sake sold by the glass in a bar-style setup, along with fresh craft beer, kitchen cars and vendor stalls, plus stage programming with music and performances. For beer fans, these are two days not to miss, with the chance to enjoy a pour straight from the tap in the atmosphere of cherry blossom viewing.

A limited event sake called "Sakurabito" is also scheduled to appear. This seasonal bottle, timed for this period, is likely to serve as a centerpiece of the venue experience.

Choryo Brew Park opened in March 2022, directly west of Choryo Shuzo's Koryo Brewery. The facility has a taproom and shop on the first floor and a dining space on the second floor. In normal times, it offers seven craft beer taps and three sake taps. During cherry blossom season, its location overlooking the rows of cherry trees along the Takadagawa River is another strength, and visitors can sample the brewery's own lineup on site.

Choryo Shuzo is a Nara brewery founded in 1963. It obtained a beer-brewing license in 2021 and began its craft beer business. The appeal of Brew Park is that visitors can experience both the tradition of sake and the new challenge of beer brewing in Koryo. Anyone who wants to enjoy both the scenery and the tap in springtime Nara will want to keep these dates on the calendar.
