Tokyo, Meguro’s Craft Beer & Wine THE DODO HOUSE shared its business information and tap lineup for Thursday, March 19. The new tap opening this time is “Mukaino no Sakura” from Johana Beer in Toyama. In the post, it is introduced as a limited edition made by adding peach juice to the brewery’s popular “Earl Grey,” described as a beer with peach aroma, tea-like nuances, and a barley finish in the aftertaste.

The taps for the day are the following eight beers.

- Johana Beer “Mukaino no Sakura”
- Gargery “Estella”
- Kyoto Brewing “6 Days Off”
- Tsumari Beer “Heavy Snow Pale Ale”
- Karuizawa Q “Lazy Afternoon”
- Anglo Japanese Brewing “Joy Juice ver.3”
- Barbaric Works “Sunset Elixir”
- Kankiku Brewery “Sake Lees Smoothie - Milk Strawberry -”

As signs of spring grow stronger, the appeal is being able to choose from a wide range of styles, from spice and herb-driven beers to pale ales and smoothie-style brews. Paired with the seasonal atmosphere around the Meguro River area, there is also the fun of deciding what to drink first.

The shop is a beer pub that also serves wine in addition to craft beer. It has also announced that there is no charge when using the bench seating, and takeout is available, making it easy to stop in casually as well as enjoy a full sit-down visit. For anyone looking to chase “Japanese craft beer you can drink right now” in Meguro on a night before the weekend, this seems like a tap update worth checking out.
