Eni-Brew taps Tamba-ji Brewery's real ale "VALLE8"; Japanese-style beer selection starts May 22
At Eni-Brew in Nakamozu-cho, Sakai City, Osaka, Tamba-ji Brewery's "VALLE8 Real Ale ver." from Hyogo is being served on hand pump. Starting May 22, a monthly project focusing on Japanese ingredients and brewing techniques will also begin.
At the beer pub "Eni-Brew," located in Il Grandy B1 at 2-71 Nakamozu-cho, Sakai City, Osaka, "VALLE8 Real Ale ver." from Hyogo's Tamba-ji Brewery has arrived. In a post, the shop announced that the beer, brewed as an anniversary beer for Kobe's famous beer bar "VALLE SAGRADO," is being served as an ordinary bitter poured from a hand pump.
True to its real ale style, which uses no gas, this beer is characterized by a gradual bitterness that unfolds after the malt sweetness, giving it a finish that evokes a classic British pub style. It is said to be a one-time brew, and the shop says it may not be available there again in the future.
Eni-Brew is introduced as "a craft beer specialty shop where beers from all over Japan gather," and its location, just a two-minute walk from Nakamozu Station, makes it easy to visit. In addition to taking time to enjoy a pint inside the shop, part of the appeal is following the constant rotation of guest beers.
Furthermore, starting May 22, 2026, the monthly feature "eni-bru Monthly Feature of Craft Beer: Nippon Style Beer Selection" will begin. Eight labels that make use of traditional Japanese ingredients and brewing skills, including sake yeast, sake lees, yuzu, sake rice, Japanese black tea, sansho pepper, rice koji, and soba, will be lined up, creating a lineup that lets you rediscover the breadth of beer. The selection includes CRAFTROCK BREWING's "LUCKY7," CYORYO Craft Beer's "Wakyo ~ Sake Lees Yuzu Ale," Hansharo Beer x Nara Brewing's "PARALLEL WORLD," Daisen G Beer "Marihana Yasato," RISE&WINE Brewing's "KAMIKATSU MORNING SUMMER," fete Mishima Jozojo's "Fuji Rouge7," ORYZAE BREWING's "JAPANEASE WHITE No.9," and Yonezawa Jacks Brewery's "Nihachi Soba Ale TWINS." The food is also paired with a Japanese-inspired approach, making it a setup where you can enjoy comparing different styles side by side.
