Five beers on tap at Maru Mugi

Ji-Beer Bar Maru Mugi in Arakicho, Shinjuku, Tokyo, has announced its craft beer lineup for September 18. Large pours are priced at 1,200 yen plus applicable charges, while small pours cost 900 yen plus applicable charges. Selected beers carry an additional 100-yen charge.

Y.MARKET BREWING’s Frais Pils from Aichi is a 4.5% French-style pilsner. It is described as aromatic yet clean and refreshing, making it a natural choice for the first glass or for pairing with food.

For a more assertive profile, Baird Brewing’s Brewer’s Nightmare Rye IPA from Shizuoka comes in at 7.0%. Spicy rye character meets pronounced bitterness, creating a firmly bitter and stimulating IPA.

Vector Brewing’s Onedari White Socks from Tokyo has an ABV of 6.5% and a notably sweet aroma. Its playful name and inviting fragrance make it an appealing choice for drinkers looking for something distinctive.

The 6.0% Maple Amber Ale from Romantic Village Craft Brewery in Tochigi brings maple-like sweetness and toasted malt notes. It is positioned as a rich amber ale to enjoy slowly, with an additional 100-yen charge.

For a lighter, hop-forward option, Little Thing from Hinomoto Brewing in Tokyo offers an ABV of 4.5%. Its tropical, pineapple-like aroma and easy-drinking character make it well suited to warm weather.
