Sankaku Beer Works has published an Instagram post titled “Yoka,” featuring two cans with a soft-toned original label design. The name appears to combine “yoka,” a Kagoshima dialect expression meaning “good,” with the Japanese word for deer, an animal strongly associated with the region.

The post does not provide confirmed details about the beer’s style, alcohol content, ingredients, release date, or sales locations. Further information should be checked through the brewery’s official announcements.

Sankaku Beer Works is a craft brewery based in Kagoshima. Its beers are brewed with water from Shimizu Spring in Kawanabe, a town known for one of Japan’s 100 famous water sources. The brewery’s production facility is located at TANOKAMI STATION, a former school repurposed as a community space. Visitors can enjoy the brewery’s beers alongside dishes made with ingredients from Kawanabe at the on-site café and restaurant.

Its existing range includes Jadd-IPA, which balances hop bitterness, floral aromas, and malt character; Yadd-Golden ALE, a light-bodied pale ale with spicy, floral notes; Moze-Sour, a refreshing sour beer with grapefruit-like acidity; and Tiida-Hazy, a smooth beer with banana-like aromas from its weissbier yeast.

Whether “Yoka” is a new addition to the brewery’s regular range or a limited project remains to be announced. With its focus on local water and the character of southern Kyushu, Sankaku Beer Works’ next update will be worth watching.
