A new lager from Nishinari
Derailleur Brew Works, based in Osaka's Nishinari ward, has introduced a new beer called Do Ambroids Dream of Electric Sheep? The brewery is known for building beers around stories and for its offbeat, unconventional approach. This release sits on the more classic side of the lineup: a Vienna lager.
Malt-forward, with a noble-hop finish
The beer is built with plenty of Vienna malt, giving the aroma a grainy, biscuit-like character with touches of toast and honey. Saaz and Tettnang hops add a calm herbal bitterness rather than loud fruit character. At 5.0% ABV, with 22 IBU and an SRM of 6, it is designed to show an amber hue, soft malt depth, and a clean lager finish in the same glass.
Sold as a six-pack
On the official online store, the beer is presented as a six-bottle set, making it an easy pick for drinkers who want a case-friendly lager that pairs naturally with food. It is not a beer built on intensity; instead, its appeal lies in the careful balance of malt aroma, restrained bitterness, and a straightforward drinking experience.
