Café & Beer Arca-Archa in Namba Sennichimae is set to open at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, with a lineup of nine taps centered on local Osaka breweries. It is a straightforward beer-forward setup that should appeal to drinkers who want to sample a range of styles in one stop.
The list includes 13 Red Ale / Session Red IPA by Arca-Archa x One's Brewery, IPA from CRAFT BEER BASE, KappaBoy / Cucumber Summer Ale from BAK Brewery, DDH IPA from MARCA BREWING, and NIGHT RIDER ROUTE 26 / Session IPA from Derailleur Brew Works. Also on tap are Swallowtail from BAK Brewery, Stout from Minoh Beer, Momo Weizen Early ver / Fruit weizen from Minoh Beer, and Heartland / Pilsner from Kirin Brewery.
Food is listed from 5:00 p.m., including water eggplant sashimi, chicken ham with scallion sauce, peach and eggplant salad, gizzard and chive kimchi, shiso pesto pasta, and spicy salsiccia pizza. That makes the bar workable for both a quick beer stop and a longer meal.
Located at 4-37 Namba Sennichimae in Chuo-ku, Osaka, the venue fits the Ura Namba beer-pub style: relaxed, local, and focused on easy drinking rather than theatrics. On Aug. 9, the tap list is the main draw.
