September update from OUR BREWING

OUR BREWING, a craft beer brand from Fukui City with a taproom at FUKUMACHI BLOCK 1F in central Fukui, published its monthly newsletter, Our Brew News for September. The update summarizes recent activities, new beers, and event plans.

Collaboration beers and new releases

Two collaboration beers stand out in this issue. The first is Nom King, a West Coast IPA created with NOMCRAFT in Aridagawa, Wakayama. The name references the fact that both breweries have flagship beers with "King" in the name.

The second is Ono Meisui Lager (ONO Meisui Lager), a joint beer with Ono City in Fukui Prefecture. It uses well water from Soy Sauce Nomura, a brewery-like business with more than 140 years of history, and local pesticide-free rice from Ono. The beer is described as a clean-drinking pilsner with refreshing bitterness and a gentle sweetness.

OUR BREWING also introduced Brew Unity, a new project involving taproom staff in the brewing process. The first beer in the series is a fruity, easy-drinking Hazy Double IPA, with tropical notes of pineapple and mango.

Tours and events

The brewery tour has been brought back by popular request. Visitors can learn how beer is made, taste malt, smell hops, and even sample beer from a tank during maturation. From now on, the tour is planned once a month on weekends.

The September release list includes Nom King, Tasty Combination, Magic Flavour Ver. Idaho7, Keyaki Hazy, and Hoppy Hour Ver. Simcoe. The brewery will also appear at multiple events, starting with The Beer Exhibition in Nagaoka from September 4 to 6, followed by stops in Fukui, Tsuruga, Komatsu, and Saitama.
