Craft Beer & Wine THE DODO HOUSE in Meguro, Tokyo updated its tap list on July 15. The bar added three new drafts, spanning a collaboration lager, a fruit IPA, and a honey ale.
Newly tapped beers
- I Fudo Dodo / Kankiku Brewery x THE DODO HOUSE
- A collaboration brewed for the bar’s 9th anniversary. The beer is described as bringing together white-flower and herbal aromas, biscuit-like malt character, a solid grain presence, and a clean bitterness. It is already on its third keg.
- Pineapple IPA / HopDog Brewing
- A commemorative beer for HopDog Brewing’s 3rd anniversary. The brewery says the pineapple sugars are fermented out, leaving a tropical fruit impression and citrusy acidity in balance with the IPA base.
- Tamba Honey Ale / Tamba Road Brewery
- Brewed with honey from the local apiary Shiawase no Hachimitsu. The beer is characterized by toasted malt notes layered with honey aroma and a gentle sweetness.
The tap list also includes Yuyuu Gdiki from Daisen G Beer, Schwarz from Harvestmoon, Baikamo IPA from Numazu Craft, and Depths of Muspelheim from Mahou Brew. With a range that covers lager, IPA, honey ale, and dark beer, the lineup offers plenty of variety for drinkers who like to compare styles side by side.
The venue also notes that there is no charge when using the bench seating, and beer can be served in takeout-style plastic cups. It is a relaxed, beer-forward pub setup that makes it easy to stop in for a quick pint in Meguro.
