OUR BREWING unveils Brew Unity, the first beer in a new project
On August 18, OUR BREWING introduced Brew Unity as the first release in a new project involving taproom staff in the brewing process. The beer is a Hazy Double IPA designed for a juicy aroma and a full, satisfying body, with Fukui-grown barley malt in the grist.
OUR BREWING has launched a new project involving its taproom staff in brewing, and the first release is Brew Unity. The beer is a Hazy Double IPA with 7.5% ABV, 45 IBU, and 5.3 SRM, built to balance hop intensity and a substantial body.
The idea came from staff who interact with guests every day in the taproom and can see what people are looking for in a beer. Brewed with a double mash base, the recipe uses a generous amount of liquid hops. The hop bill includes Motueka, Mosaic, Citra CRYO, Simcoe, and Citra Quantum. The malt bill features Pilsen, Naked Oats, and Fukui-grown six-row barley malt, while the yeast is Verdant.
The beer is described as having tropical aromas reminiscent of pineapple and mango, along with a smooth mouthfeel and a juicy finish. The name Brew Unity reflects the idea of connecting brewing and hospitality into one experience.
Based in Fukui City at FUKUMACHI BLOCK 1F MINIE, OUR BREWING presents itself as a Fukui-born craft beer brand. On its official site, the brewery says it aims to create beers that lift people up and help those around them connect naturally. Brew Unity fits that philosophy well as a taproom-driven, recipe-led release.
