Yokohama's Kokoro no Tsuki Opens Barbaric Works' Master Heir on April 7
Craft beer kitchen Kokoro no Tsuki (Miyagawa-cho, Naka Ward, Yokohama) tapped Barbaric Works' "Master Heir" on April 7. The lineup features six taps in total, including Chuckanut Brewery and Hoppukotan Brewing, and is designed to be enjoyed with Chinese dishes.
On April 7, the tap list was updated at Craft beer kitchen Kokoro no Tsuki, the beer pub in Noge, Yokohama. The shop opened at 3 p.m., and there was one new tap for the day: Barbaric Works' "Master Heir" was added.
"Master Heir" is an American double IPA brewed with Mosaic hops as a single-hop showcase. In the post, it is introduced as a beer with berry and tropical aromas along with a firm bitterness. It is the kind of IPA that naturally comes to mind when you want something that foregrounds the character of hops.
The tap list for the day had six beers total.
- Chuckanut Brewery "Bock"
- Hop Garden Brewery "Sakura SAKE Lager"
- Hoppukotan Brewing "Umemigachi"
- Barbaric Works "Master Heir"
- Georgetown Brewing "Johnny Utah"
- Hoppukotan Brewing "nonno"
Kokoro no Tsuki is known for pairing craft beer with Chinese cuisine. The post also introduced it as a place to enjoy "a happy moment with beautiful beer and Chinese food," and listed dishes such as steamed chicken with Japanese pepper and green onion sauce, fried eggplant with ginger soy sauce, mapo tofu, Shanghai-style fried noodles, shrimp mayo, and drooling wontons. The setup makes it easy to choose aromatic Chinese dishes and umami-rich plates to match the beer's flavors.
For anyone in the Noge area who wants to pair Chinese food with a rotating tap selection, this is an easy stop. April's business schedule was also announced, so it would be a good idea to check before visiting.
