Teenage Brewing Announces "Tokigawa Infusion: Byakudan" for Its Third Anniversary
Teenage Brewing, based in Tokigawa Town, Saitama, has unveiled "Tokigawa Infusion: Byakudan" as the third release in its third-anniversary series. A triple collaboration with Bar Ben Fiddich and Kuroi Kouboku Spice Shop, it is a sour IPA layered with sandalwood, watermelon, and cardamom.
Teenage Brewing, based in Tokigawa Town, Hiki District, Saitama Prefecture, is a brewery founded by musician Daichi Mori after he made the leap into brewing. With free-spirited ideas and a strong focus on aroma design, the brewery has been producing beers that are distinctive yet still easy to drink.
Announced on Instagram this time was "Tokigawa Infusion: Byakudan," the third release in its third-anniversary lineup. Born from a triple collaboration with Shinjuku's Bar Ben Fiddich and Kuroi Kouboku Spice Shop, the beer takes the theme of "nostalgic memories."
The style is Sour IPA w/ Byakudan, Watermelon, Elderflower, Cardamom, with an ABV of 6.0%. It combines oriental aromas reminiscent of sandalwood incense and perfume with juicy watermelon, while elderflower and cardamom add depth. Nelson Sauvin and Elixir hops are used, and the tartness is designed to tie everything together.
In the post, the beer is introduced as a glass that seems to capture "summer in Tokigawa." Its fragrance evokes childhood memories, while its sour IPA character brings a crisp, sharp acidity. That contrast is what gives it the experimental edge that is so characteristic of Teenage Brewing.
The announcement also introduced the third-anniversary event, "Teenage Weekend 2026." It will be held on May 30 at Satoyama Village Shikisai-kan in Tokigawa Town. The venue is set to offer an early tapping of all three anniversary beers, positioning the event as a commemorative festival where beer, music, and nature can all be enjoyed in a single day. Sales to retailers and release and shipping via the EC site are both scheduled for early June.
