At the craft beer specialty shop WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE (Mihama Base) in Inage-Kaigan, two new taps were announced. The latest additions are Hamaru IPA from Faction Brewery in California, USA, and Ise Kadoya Beer’s West Coast Pilsner. Both are beers you won’t want to miss if you enjoy hop aroma and a crisp finish.

Faction Hamaru IPA is a West Coast IPA made with NZ 101, NZ 105, and Ekuanot. It has substantial body, yet finishes clean, with bright citrus flavors, bold aroma, and moderate bitterness providing its shape. The name is also memorable, carrying the idea of wanting Japanese beer fans to drink it and get hooked on Faction’s beers.

Meanwhile, Ise Kadoya Beer’s West Coast Pilsner is a regular canned release that has made a special appearance on keg. Citrus, tropical, piney, and spicy hop aromas are layered with a light sulfur note, and the mouthfeel is snappy and crisp. It is firmly bitter, finishes dry, and lets you enjoy the lingering aroma that rises from the back of the throat to the nose.

There are 9 draft beers on tap today in total. In addition to GUINNESS, KIRIN HEARTLAND, and Hoegaarden White, the lineup also includes Revision Realm Warp, 8 Bit Brewing Dark Forces, West Coast Brewing Alive, and Smog City Ice Blink Hazy IPA, offering a wide range from West Coast IPA to hazy, pilsner, and stout. MIHAMA BASE holds a general liquor retail license and also offers bottle and can takeout. Hours are 17:00 to 25:00, closed on Tuesdays, and table reservations are accepted. It is a good spot in Inage-Kaigan for a day when you want to take your time comparing beers.
