Newly Tapped

At Chigasaki beer pub HOP MAN, Shiga Kogen Beer’s new releases “from scratch / a blonde ale” and “SNOW MONKEY IPA Silver Label ver.” have been tapped. The former is a 5.0% blonde ale with IBU 31, brewed with 100% Pilsner malt, four kinds of hops from the U.S. and New Zealand, and homegrown Cascade. The latter is 6.0% and IBU 21, and is characterized by aromas reminiscent of grapefruit, lychee, and white peach, along with a bitterness that is slightly more pronounced than last year.

Tap Lineup

HOP MAN is a beer pub on the second floor, and its signature appeal is offering up to 38 kinds of draft beer plus three hand pumps. In addition to the two new taps this time, a wide range of distinctive labels are lined up, including Passific Brewing, Kakegawa Beer, Shonan Beer, Kyoto Brewing, Ise Kadoya Brewery, Noboribetsu Ji-Beer Oni-Densetsu, Miyazaki Hideji Beer, and Uchu Brewing. The lineup makes it easy to choose according to your mood, from light blondes to aroma-driven IPAs and dark beers.

It also pairs well with food, and the blonde ale works well as a mealtime beer. SNOW MONKEY IPA is easy to match with dishes or cheese that have citrusy aromas. For anyone in Chigasaki who wants to check the range of draft beer available, this lineup makes the latest change hard to miss.
