A new release to mark the 4th anniversary

Kichi Brewing, a brewery in Horikiri-Shobuen, Katsushika Ward, Tokyo, will hold a 4th Anniversary Week over five days from April 1 to April 5. In a post, it introduced a new original beer, “|||| (Four Pillars)”, as its anniversary beer. It is already on tap, and the announcement is being shared as a follow-up introduction.

The beer is a Vienna Lager

“||||” is a Vienna Lager. It is said to have an ABV of 4.7% and an IBU of 23, with a design that layers floral aromas from French hops and lager yeast over malt notes reminiscent of biscuits and toast. A touch of caramel malt adds depth, resulting in a pour with fruity sweetness and tartness that calls to mind oranges preserved in honey. With the crisp, dry finish you expect from a lager, it is a beer you can take your time with.

“Four pillars” supporting its fourth year

The name “Four Pillars” is a nod to the brewery’s 4th anniversary milestone. In the post, the brewery looks back on the four years it has spent building brewing technique, beer quality, an environment for guests, and its own growth, while also expressing an eye toward expanding outward in the future. During the anniversary event period, there is also an offer that lets customers enjoy regular and guest beers at a better value by using an original-logo reusable cup, making it a good fit not only for regulars but also for people who want to compare different beers.

This local brewery in Horikiri-Shobuen is offering a limited-edition lager that fits the occasion. If you like beers that combine toasty character with a clean finish, this is one to check out.
