Paint Palette Brewing announced that it will hold a joint tap takeover with AQ Bevolution at IBREW Ebisu on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29. It looks set to be a two-day event where beers from the Kobe-based brewery and notable overseas craft selections can be enjoyed at the same time.
According to a post on Paint Palette Brewing's Instagram, a joint tap takeover with AQ Bevolution will be held at IBREW Ebisu on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29.
The venue is a 2-minute walk from Ebisu Station. In the post, AQ Bevolution is expected to pour about 10 beers, centered on Barebottle Brewing and Trap Door Brewing, while Paint Palette Brewing is scheduled to have about 12 beers on tap. The event details section also says "about 10 from each company, 20 in total," so either way, it promises a diverse lineup.
Also, on Saturday, March 28, Togami from Paint Palette Brewing and KOTOMI from AQ Bevolution are scheduled to appear, and a rock-paper-scissors contest for merch is also planned.
Paint Palette Brewing is a brewery based in Kobe, Hyogo. In the post, it is introduced as a brewery that started in the summer of 2025 inside "awaawaKOBE" in Chuo Ward, Kobe City. On its official website as well, it presents itself as "a brewery that paints a variety of scenes," drawing on brewing experience accumulated in the United States and Kyoto, and emphasizes making expressive beers that combine ingredients and technique.
As spring gets underway, a rising brewery from Kobe and the context of overseas craft will intersect in Ebisu. For beer fans in the Tokyo metropolitan area, it looks set to be a weekend event well worth comparing side by side.
