Huitrière, the craft beer brand from Akkeshi, Hokkaido, released `AKKESHI EMERALD` on August 1 as the first beer in its new Hanasaki Line project. The beer is sold at the brewery, on the official online store, and through selected retailers.

`AKKESHI EMERALD` is inspired by the scenery along the Hanasaki Line, the local railway linking Kushiro and Nemuro. The brewery describes it as a summer hoppy lager shaped by the view from the train window over Bekanbeushi Marsh, with lime- and melon-like aromas and a clean finish.

- Style: Summer Hoppy Lager
- ABV: 5.0%
- Hops: Motueka, El Dorado, Citra
- Price: JPY 850 for 350 ml

The Huitrière name comes from the French word for a place where oysters grow, which fits its Akkeshi roots. The project is designed to express each season of the Hanasaki Line through beer, with a portion of sales donated to support activities connected to the railway. The brewery also says it plans to develop the project as a recurring seasonal series rather than a one-off release.
