The event "BEER ROAD MINOKAMO," promoted by Mino-Kamo Beer, is a project that lets visitors take in Gifu’s craft beer scene all at once right in front of the station. It will be held on March 14, 2026, from 11:00 to 19:00, at EKIPA, the plaza in front of the south exit of Mino-ota Station. Conveniently located for access by public transportation, it is structured so people can take their time sampling beers from noon into the evening.

A total of 13 breweries are expected to participate: 10 breweries from within Gifu Prefecture, plus 3 guest breweries from outside the prefecture. The appeal lies in being able to compare the distinct regional character of breweries such as Kamado Brewery, 104BREWERY, Hida Takayama Beer, Blade Factory Brewing, Hidano Oku Brewery, River Port Brewery, Mino Seki Beer, Ji Beer Hida, Gujo Hachiman Beer Kobokobo, and local host Mino-Kamo Beer, all in one place. In addition, out-of-prefecture names such as FAR YEAST BREWING, Yatsugatake Brewery, and flora fermentation will broaden the range of flavors.

One thing essential to talking about this event is the background of the host, Mino-Kamo Beer. Rooted in Mino-Kamo, Gifu, the brewery is known for brewing that makes use of local ingredients. Its lineup, which incorporates local ingredients such as pear, honey, and coffee, goes beyond simple "local beer" and can be seen as an approach that captures the story of the land in each glass. Its efforts to return part of sales to the local community and to use imperfect produce also form key pillars that support the brand’s identity.

Held in front of the station, this "BEER ROAD MINOKAMO" is a place for drinkers to discover a new pint, and also a practical stage for brewers to present Gifu’s craft beer culture as a whole. On a March weekend, at the entrance to spring, it is the perfect timing to compare "what Gifu is like now" one glass at a time.
