Minokamo Beer makes its Kyoto debut

Minokamo Beer, a craft brewery based in Minokamo, Gifu Prefecture, will make its first appearance in Kyoto. According to the brewery’s Instagram post, the two-day outing is set for June 5, when it will participate in “Gifu Marche @ Kyoto,” and June 6, when it will join “Gujo Odori in Kyoto.”

June 5: bottle sales at Zest Oike

On the first day, the brewery will appear from 11:00 to 19:00 at the Kawaramachi Plaza inside Zest Oike for “Gifu Marche @ Kyoto.” Sales on this day will be bottles only.

June 6: draft beer joins the lineup

On the second day, from 14:30 to 18:30, Minokamo Beer will set up at Kyoto City Hall Square for “Gujo Odori in Kyoto.” This session will include both draft beer and bottled beer.

Minokamo Beer brews in Ota-juku, a former post town in Minokamo City, and is known as a brewery founded by an active firefighter. Its Kyoto debut marks a notable step for a brewery that has built its identity around place, community, and local character.

Because the offer changes by day, visitors can choose June 5 for bottles to take home, or June 6 for draft beer on the spot. For Kyoto beer fans, it is a compact but meaningful chance to meet a Gifu-born craft brewery in person.
