BEER BAR Awatachi in Fukui to Pour 5th Anniversary Beer Brewed by Yellow Monkey Brewing
Awatachi, a standing craft beer bar in central Fukui, has announced a three-day fifth-anniversary event running from July 31 to August 2. The lineup includes a 5th-anniversary beer brewed by Yellow Monkey Brewing, limited glasses, stickers, and a tap takeover.
BEER BAR Awatachi, located in Fukui's Shin-ei Shopping Street within walking distance of Fukui Station, announced details of its fifth-anniversary event on Instagram. The standing-style craft beer bar usually rotates beers from breweries across Japan across four taps, and this time the celebration centers on a collaboration with Yellow Monkey Brewing.
The event will run for three days: Friday, July 31 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; Saturday, August 1 from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; and Sunday, August 2 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Awatachi will serve its 5th-anniversary beer and host a tap takeover with Yellow Monkey Brewing beers. The bar also plans to hand out 200 anniversary stickers and sell 40 5th-anniversary glasses. It will also bring back its unsold 3rd-anniversary glass, offered at the same price as the 5th-anniversary glass.
The glasses are priced at 1,900 yen each: the 5th-anniversary glass holds 147 ml, while the 3rd-anniversary glass holds 237 ml. Sets are also available, including a two-glass tasting set and a mixed set pairing one 5th-anniversary glass with one 3rd-anniversary glass. Other scheduled items include a morning RUN FOR BEER with brewer Komada on August 1, a private booking of the Shin-ei Terrace behind the bar on August 1 and 2, and a possible fireworks display on the first day.
With limited glassware, a brewer visit, and a full tap takeover, the anniversary program puts Awatachi's straightforward beer-focused style on display for three days in central Fukui.
