Kishiwada Beer to Sell 12-Bottle Variety Set Featuring Winter-Limited “Hakumai”
Kishiwada Beer, a craft brewery in Kishiwada, Osaka, is offering a 12-bottle set that combines three standard beers with its winter-limited flavor, Hakumai. Priced at 7,560 yen (tax included), it also supports noshi gift wrapping and simple packaging, making it a strong option for gift demand.
The “Variety Set (two bottles each of Tekkou, Kurotetsu, and Shirotetsu, plus six bottles of Hakumai)” sold through Kishiwada Beer’s online shop is designed so customers can enjoy both the regular lineup and a limited edition at once. The set includes a total of 12 bottles, with Tekkou, Kurotetsu, and Shirotetsu each at two bottles, and Hakumai at six bottles, all in 330 ml bottles. The price is 7,560 yen (tax included). It must be refrigerated, and the best-before period is six months from the date of production.
In a notice dated October 20, 2025, the company announced that its new flavor beer, Hakumai, would go on sale in limited quantities starting at noon on Monday, November 10, 2025. Hakumai is a flavored beer made with sake lees from Isaka Shuzojou, a long-established brewery in Senshu, Kishiwada, and has an alcohol content of 5%. The recipe was reworked from the previous sake lees beer, with an emphasis on creating a richer taste that pairs well with winter dishes.
The three standard beers also each have a clear identity. Tekkou is a wheat ale made with more than 50% wheat malt; Kurotetsu is a brown porter with roasted notes and depth; and Shirotetsu is a light ale with a crisp, easy-drinking character. All are 5% alcohol, making them well balanced for side-by-side tasting.
Kishiwada Beer began as a challenge from Hokkai Tekkojyo, an ironworks in Kishiwada, Osaka. The brand highlights its locally rooted approach through brewing with in-house design and in-house production equipment, as well as initiatives such as donating part of its sales to the Kodomo MIRAI Fund Kishiwada. This set, which includes Hakumai made with sake lees from a local brewery, seems like the clearest way to experience the brewery’s direction of creating craft beer connected to the land.
