Kishiwada Beer, produced by Hokkai Tekkojo in Kishiwada, Osaka, will release a "Variety 12-Bottle Set" featuring its spring-limited flavor beer "Harusaki." Sales will begin at 8:00 a.m. on May 22, and the price is 7,560 yen including tax. The set includes 12 bottles in total: two bottles each of the standard "Tekko," "Kurotetsu," and "Shirotetsu," plus six bottles of "Harusaki."

"Harusaki" is a seasonal limited item that was renewed this spring from the previous "Hassaku" based on user feedback. It uses plenty of Kishiwada-grown hassaku citrus, combining moderate sweetness, a refreshing tartness, and the slight bitterness unique to hassaku. The style is a flavored beer with an alcohol content of 5%. It is designed so that its fruity drinkability is backed by a solid richness.

The three standard varieties also have clear individual characters. "Tekko" is a wheat ale made with more than 50% wheat malt, with the aromas of Cascade hops and Simcoe hops adding a lively feel. "Kurotetsu" is a brown porter blended with roasted malt and caramel malt, while "Shirotetsu" is a light ale with a restrained hop profile. All three have an alcohol content of 5% and come in 330 ml bottles. The appeal of this set is that you can compare the three standards while also enjoying the spring-only "Harusaki" all at once.

Kishiwada Beer is a brewery that produces craft beer locally in Kishiwada, using the manufacturing know-how it has cultivated as an ironworks. This set is suited not only to everyday evening drinks, but also to seasonal gifts, and options for noshi and simple packaging are available.
