Kishiwada Beer announces case shipments of “Tekko”

Kishiwada Beer will begin shipping 24-bottle cases of “Tekko” on a rolling basis from September 29, 2026. The product is listed as a food-service purchasing item and is marked as available to registered members on the brewery’s website.

“Tekko” is a wheat ale made with at least 50% wheat malt. This gives it a softer mouthfeel than a standard ale, while allowing the hop aroma to remain prominent. The beer is listed at 5% ABV and comes in 330ml bottles. It should be refrigerated, with a stated shelf life of six months from production.

Cascade and Simcoe shape the profile

The beer uses Cascade and Simcoe hops. Cascade contributes citrus-like aroma and refreshing bitterness, while Simcoe adds fruity notes and depth. Kishiwada Beer describes the combination as creating a distinctive aroma and rich flavor that has earned strong support from beer enthusiasts.

The gentle texture from the wheat malt, paired with lively hop character, makes “Tekko” an approachable choice for both experienced craft beer drinkers and those looking to try more aromatic styles. It can also be enjoyed with food, giving drinkers an opportunity to explore how its citrus notes and clean finish interact with different dishes.

Craft beer from a Kishiwada steelworks

Kishiwada Beer is operated by Hokkai Iron Works in Kishiwada, Osaka. The company began brewing craft beer in the city using equipment designed and manufactured in-house, drawing on its experience as a steelworks. The brewery also emphasizes hands-on work from ingredient selection and brewing through bottling.

Shipping will start on September 29 and continue on a rolling basis. Customers should check the official product page for current stock, delivery timing, and purchasing requirements.
