Kishiwada Beer in Kishiwada City, Osaka, will begin selling a variety 6-bottle set that includes its seasonal product "Harusaki". Sales start at 8:00 a.m. on May 22 and will be limited in quantity. The price is 3,780 yen (tax included).

The set contains one bottle each of the standard three varieties, "Tekko," "Kurotetsu," and "Shirotetsu," plus three bottles of the spring-limited "Harusaki," for a total of six bottles. The official website describes it as a lineup that is easy to give as a present. It also supports noshi gift wrapping and simple packaging, so demand for seasonal greetings and souvenir gifts is likely.

"Harusaki" is a flavored beer newly revamped from the previous release, "Hassaku." It makes generous use of Hassaku citrus grown in Kishiwada, and is characterized by a moderate sweetness, refreshing acidity, and a gentle bitterness derived from the Hassaku. The style is flavored beer, the alcohol content is 5%, the net volume is 330 ml, it should be kept refrigerated, and its shelf life is six months from the production date.

The three standard varieties each have a distinct flavor profile. "Tekko" uses a large amount of wheat malt and is known for its soft mouthfeel and citrus-hop aroma; "Kurotetsu" offers roasted-malt fragrance and richness; and "Shirotetsu" is characterized by a light, easy-drinking finish. Even within the same brewery, tasting them side by side makes it easy to appreciate the range of flavors.

Kishiwada Beer is a brand that began brewing craft beer using equipment designed and manufactured in-house, drawing on the machining expertise cultivated in Kishiwada by the ironworks company Hokkai Iron Works. It continues to create products that emphasize local ingredients and ties to the community, and this set also offers a way to enjoy the seasonality of the region and the character of its standard beers all at once.
