At the beer pub Enibrew in Nakamozu-cho, Sakai City, Osaka, The Old Grey Brewery's "Orooro Black" has been newly tapped.

The shop is located a two-minute walk from Nakamozu Station, and its appeal is that, in addition to a drink inside the bar, it also has a bottle shop. A post says the lineup exceeds 80 labels, so beyond drinking something interesting on the spot, there are plenty of options for taking beers home and enjoying them later.

This new tap is the brewery's flagship beer, "Orooro Black," from The Old Grey Brewery, which began brewing in 2024 in Shiraoi, Hokkaido. The style is Schwarzbier, and it is described as having the aroma of roasted malt, a light drinkability that never feels heavy, and a faint sweetness that lingers in the finish. It has the structure you would expect from a dark beer, while its balance makes it easy to pair with food.

The bottle shop also received four beers from Johana Beer in Toyama.

- `APPLE TEA`
A fruit ale made with domestic apples and black tea
- `LA FRANCE`
A fruit ale that brings out the gentle sweetness of La France pears
- `BLOOD ORANGE`
A fruit ale with the juiciness and subtle bitterness of blood orange
- `GOLDEN SPARK`
A herb-spice ale that lets you enjoy the kick and aroma of ginger

On the food side, the shop is also featuring "Chunky Bamboo Shoot Miso Gratin" made with seasonal bamboo shoots. With the toasty character of the dark beer, the easy-drinking bottled fruit ales, and a springlike seasonal dish all available at once, this is the kind of place that feels too good to stop at just one drink. If you're looking for craft beer in Nakamozu, this is one spot worth checking out for the sheer depth of its selection.
