Paint Palette Brewing Reveals New Releases "UNDER THE SUN" and "TIMELESS SYMPHONY"
Kobe City’s Paint Palette Brewing has unveiled two new beers, "UNDER THE SUN" and "TIMELESS SYMPHONY." The lineup pairs a juicy IPA with a strong farmhouse ale made with sake lees, two beers with sharply contrasting personalities.
Paint Palette Brewing operates a brewery and taproom on Wakinohama Kaigandori in Chuo Ward, Kobe, and presents itself as "a brewery that paints a variety of scenes." This latest release is a pair with very different expressions: a fruity IPA and a distinctive farmhouse ale brewed with sake lees.
UNDER THE SUN
`UNDER THE SUN` is a juicy IPA with an ABV of 7.0%, brewed with Citra, Strata, and Talus. Its soft mouthfeel, derived from wheat and oats, is layered with aromas reminiscent of peach and tropical fruit, while a dry, crisp finish keeps the whole beer firmly in balance. It is characterized by a gentle bitterness that coexists with substantial drinkability, and it is designed as a beer for the warm season.
TIMELESS SYMPHONY
`TIMELESS SYMPHONY` is a strong farmhouse ale at 7.5% ABV, made lavishly with sake lees from Kobe Sake Shushinkan’s "Fukuju" in Nada, Kobe. Lemongrass and the citrus character of hops are joined by a silky richness from the sake lees, while a fermented afterglow lingers softly. As the temperature rises, the aroma opens up, offering the pleasure of sipping it slowly.
The brewery’s emphasis on local Kobe ingredients and a design philosophy that clearly defines each style comes through strongly here. An IPA that evokes the openness of daytime and a farmhouse ale that suits the quiet of evening. By placing these two contrasting beers side by side, Paint Palette Brewing’s approach to "painting scenes" comes into sharper focus.
