Hideji Beer brews its third 30th anniversary collaboration with NOVORU and a NZ HAZY IPA
On March 25, 2026, Hideji Beer Mukabaki Brewery announced the third installment of its 30th anniversary collaboration project on Instagram. The final collaboration partner is NOVORU Brewing, and the brewing style is NZ HAZY IPA. A limited release is planned for late April.
Hideji Beer Mukabaki Brewery, the Miyazaki craft brewery, has released the latest information on its 30th anniversary project. What was announced this time was the third installment of the "30th Anniversary Collaboration Beer Brewing Project," and the post revealed a brew with NOVORU Brewing as the "final collaboration partner."
The collaboration beer style is NZ HAZY IPA. According to Hideji Beer’s post, the brew brought together NOVORU’s expertise in New Zealand hops and Hazy IPA techniques, along with Hideji Beer’s in-house yeast culturing know-how, sharing brewing techniques back and forth in the process. Rather than being a simple brand collaboration, the defining feature this time is that practical exchange between brewers is at its core.
In terms of flavor direction, it is expected to be designed so that drinkers can enjoy the contrast between a clean haze, a mellow fruity character, and a light, easy-drinking finish. While giving it the kind of aromatic depth typical of hazy beers, the goal is also a balanced beer that goes down easily.
The post also notes that Hideji Beer and NOVORU Brewing had already had prior connections, including brewery visits during employee training and sales at the company-run HAROW shop. At the milestone of its 30th anniversary, turning an existing relationship into a product is also interesting in the broader context of the local craft beer scene.
Hideji Beer is based in Miyazaki and has been brewing since 1996. This third installment can be seen as an attempt to re-edit 30 years of accumulated experience through an external collaboration. Since the release is scheduled for late April and will be limited in quantity, those hoping to get it should follow the official updates closely from now on.
