According to Bighand Bros. Brewery's Instagram post, "March Event Information," the brewery's beers will be served at the beer bar "esperanza.fukuoka" in Yakuin, Fukuoka City. The event runs from Friday, March 20 through Sunday, March 22. The post also notes that the beers can be enjoyed together with the shop's lamb chops.
In addition, on March 21, Bighand Bros. Beer Head Brewer Nakamura is scheduled to visit the venue. With the added opportunity to speak directly with the brewer, this event should offer a chance to experience not only the beer itself, but also its background and design intent.
Bighand Bros. is a Kyoto-based brewery that describes itself on its official website as a "basement brewery in Nishijin." It emphasizes beer making rooted in the British style, and in Kyoto it operates tap service and can sales at two locations, CHIEKOUIN and TERAMACHI. Its approach is characterized by a mix of core offerings and limited brews, with a strength in crafting beers that pair well with everyday meals.
This Fukuoka event is a valuable opportunity for drinkers outside Kyoto to experience the brewery's character built up over the years. It should be a highly noteworthy three days not only for fans from afar, but also for craft beer lovers in the Kyushu area.
