At Yamorido, a brewpub in Fushimi, Kyoto, the collaboration beer "Chirin / Weizen w/ kuromoji" with KYOTO NUDE BREWERY has been tapped.

This beer is built on a Weizen base infused with kuromoji from Keihoku. The post says it has an IBU of 11, ABV of 5.0%, uses Pilsner and Wheat malts, Motueka and Perle hops, and Weizen Yeast. The design layers the refreshing quality and sweet, spicy aroma of kuromoji over the fruity character of the Weizen, resulting in a clean and gentle finish. The name "Chirin" was reportedly inspired by the sound of a wind chime.

As a Fushimi brewpub, Yamorido is a place where you can enjoy its own house-brewed beers at the core. This time, in addition to six house beers, the lineup includes collaboration and guest beers, making it a fun spot for tasting comparisons. On tap are "Chakabuki / Japanese Saison," which brings out tea-like elements; "Tiger Kick / West Coast IPA," with a strong hop presence; "Yamori Gold L / Golden Ale," a light option; "Ushigoroshi / American IPA," with a pronounced malt character; and "Flying Gecko / Amber Ale," with bitterness and roasty notes.

On the guest side, "Amber Drops," brewed by NUDE, is also available. It is a Belgian amber made with lemon and coffee beans, and is said to be designed to evoke an espresso lemonade. Other beers listed include "Hokaze / Session IPA" and "Ayana / Fruit Saison," making it one of the highlights of this collaboration that you can compare beers from the same source in different expressions.

Yamorido is known not only for serving fresh craft beer in Fushimi, but also for letting guests enjoy elements of Japanese tea culture. This "Chirin" deserves attention as a beer that naturally brings out both the character of the place and the compatibility of the collaboration.
