Yamorido releases Gangi Brewing collaboration beer Tomo Dacho in Kyoto
At Yamorido, a brewpub in Kyoto's Fushimi district, the Gangi Brewing collaboration beer Tomo Dacho has been released. The 4.5% Mexican lager with sansho appears alongside seven house beers and two Gangi Brewing guest taps.
Yamorido, a brewpub in Kyoto's Fushimi area, highlighted the release of its collaboration beer with Gangi Brewing, `Tomo Dacho`, in its latest Instagram post. The venue's tap list also shows the range the bar is pouring alongside the collab.
`Tomo Dacho` is a Mexican lager with sansho. It comes in at 4.5% ABV and IBU 15, built on Pilsner and Vienna malt with Corn Grits for a lighter body. Saphir and Magnum provide a herbal bitterness, while W-34/70 keeps the finish clean. Sansho from Tanba-Sasayama is steeped during fermentation, adding citrus and spice without pushing the beer out of lager territory.
The house lineup that day included `Chakabuki`, `Makomako`, `Minamikaze`, `SKIP`, `Gogo no Stout`, `Chakabuki -Shincha ver-`, and `Tomo Dacho`. Guest taps were `MOREISH` and `HOP SUMMIT` from Gangi Brewing. It's a compact snapshot of what Yamorido does best: a brewpub setting where house beer, seasonal variations, and guest pours can be compared side by side in Kyoto's Fushimi neighborhood.
