Yamorido, a brewpub located in Fushimi, Kyoto, has announced a refreshed grand menu featuring beers brewed at its on-site brewery, Yamorido Shuzo, alongside guest beers. Set in a renovated machiya that retains the atmosphere of a former tea shop, the venue offers beer and food in a relaxed setting.

The updated lineup includes Chakabuki - Japanese Saison, brewed with Uji-grown karigane tea and yuzu peel. Tea umami, citrus aroma, and a gently spicy yeast character come together in a crisp, refreshing profile. A seasonal variation, Chakabuki (Shincha version) - Japanese Saison, uses new tea to add fresh bitterness and a bright lingering finish.

For darker beer fans, Gogo no Stout - Oatmeal Coffee Stout is infused with deeply roasted coffee beans. Its aromas recall cacao and chocolate, while a pleasant bitterness remains through the finish. Tomo Dacho - Mexican Lager w/ Sansho, a collaboration between Yamorido and Niigata’s Gangi Brewing, offers a lighter option, combining a delicate body with citrusy, spicy sansho notes and herbal hop bitterness.

The guest selection features Gangi Brewing’s BELLATRIX, a wheat pale ale with sea salt, and CRACK, a cask-style IPA brewed with orange peel. Guests who want to compare several beers can also order a tasting set of four house beers.

Food options range from smoked mixed nuts and beer-pickled vegetables to fish and chips, seasonal small plates, and beef stewed in craft beer. The refreshed menu gives visitors plenty of ways to pair Yamorido’s beers with food while enjoying the character of Fushimi’s machiya district.
