The beer pub Himalaya table in Uchikanda, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, has announced its tap lineup for May 25. True to its reputation as a cozy spot where you can relax over Nepali dishes, the bar is serving beers from domestic breweries that are easy to enjoy alongside a meal.

Today's lineup

- `Nara Brewing LOCOMOTION` (IPA)
- `Nara Brewing STUDY IN ROUGE` (sour)
- `Baeren Colonia`
- `Minoh Beer Nice Bitter`
- `Ushitora Favorite IPA`
- `Y.Market Brewing Purple Sky Pale Ale`
- `Baeren Maibock`
- `Akaoni Red Ale`

From IPA styles that let you really enjoy hop aroma, to a tart sour, to a bock and bitter that bring out malt depth, and even a red ale, the range of flavors is quite broad. It would be easy to build a tasting flow: chase the aroma with `LOCOMOTION` and `Favorite IPA`, switch gears with `STUDY IN ROUGE`, then sip slowly through `Maibock` and `Akaoni Red Ale`.

Himalaya table is a small place located a two-minute walk from the west exit of Kanda Station. Paired with Nepali dishes featuring momos and spices, the beer's character should come through even more clearly. It seems like a good day to stop in for just one drink after work, or to spend the evening comparing several beers.
