At the craft beer specialty shop "vivo! BEER+DININGBAR" near the east exit of Ikebukuro, Kyoto Brewing's "Summer Whim" and Yatsugatake Beer Touchdown's "Rock Weizen" have newly been tapped. Quietly tucked away underground, the shop lives up to its lineup of 20 draft beers by offering two pours with very different personalities to enjoy side by side.
"Summer Whim" is a session IPA characterized by tropical hop-driven flavors and a crisp finish. Its light, easy-drinking profile makes it a beer that works well with meals. "Rock Weizen," on the other hand, is a Hefeweizen with aromas reminiscent of banana and clove, letting you slowly savor its gentle fruitiness and lingering aromatic finish.
That day's lineup also included vivo!×CYCAD BREWING's "42 (forty two)" and "16 (sixteen)," Oni Densetsu's "Kinoni Pale Ale ADHA-1631 single ver.," West Coast Brewing's "Starwatcher," Devil Craft's "Patriot Crush" and "Deep Red Groove," Inkhorn Brewing's "Yellow Warbler," Yatsugatake Beer Touchdown's "Kiyosato Lager," Minoh Beer "BATON 007" and "Stout," Mugi Zakkoku Kobo Microbrewery's "Rustic Saison," Ushitora Brewery's "Strawberry Kingdom," TOKYO ALEWORKS' "Kabukicho Red" and "Remouse Blended B.A. Imperial Stout ~ Special ver.," St. James's Gate's "Draught Guinness," and Kirin Beer "Heartland," among others. One of this shop's charms is being able to follow such a wide range of styles in one place.
