Okazaki Beer to Hold Three-Day Pop-Up Sales in Okazaki on Sept. 19–21
Okazaki Beer will hold a three-day pop-up sale in Okazaki from September 19 to 21. The brewery will set up at Deai no Mori Park on September 19 and Sakurabashi on September 20 and 21, serving its distinctive craft beers alongside beer-friendly foods such as miso beef tendon stew and gyoza.
Okazaki Beer, a craft brewery based in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, will take its beers into the city during Japan’s Silver Week holiday period.
The pop-up will run from September 19 through September 21. On Saturday, September 19, the brewery will operate at Deai no Mori Park from 11:00 to 20:00. The venue is about a two-minute walk from JR Okazaki Station. On Sunday, September 20, and Monday, September 21, the pop-up will move to Sakurabashi, where it will also run from 11:00 to 20:00. Sakurabashi is approximately a seven-minute walk from Meitetsu Higashi-Okazaki Station.
Visitors can expect a selection of Okazaki Beer’s craft beers. The brewery began producing its own beer in 2023 as the first craft beer brewery in Okazaki. Its brewing program incorporates local ingredients, including Mineasahi rice grown in Okazaki and the region’s well-known Hatcho miso.
A dark beer made with Hatcho miso is among the brewery’s expressions of local identity. By connecting regional food culture with craft brewing, Okazaki Beer offers a way to experience the character of the city through both flavor and ingredients.
Food will also be available at the pop-up. Planned options include Hatcho miso beef tendon stew, gyoza, Mikawa sausages and long fries—choices suited to a daytime drink or an evening beer.
For beer lovers exploring the areas around Okazaki Station or Higashi-Okazaki, the event offers an easy opportunity to enjoy local beer and food in an urban setting. Check the venue for each date and stop by during the three-day run.
