New taps

On July 14, GRANDPA FISH & CHIPS in Kameido highlighted two new beers: Kahosha IPA from Okazaki Beer and JUNTO THE HOTO 蜜煙奈落 from natbrew. The note attached to Kahosha IPA describes it as well balanced, suggesting a hop-forward IPA that should be easy to approach with food. JUNTO THE HOTO 蜜煙奈落, meanwhile, is listed as having been matured in a barrel from Saburomaru, which points to a deeper, more layered profile.

A fish-and-chips beer pub

Located at 5-16-6 Kameido, Koto-ku, Tokyo, the pub centers its food menu on herb-battered fish and chips. Its official menu also lists five taps and real ale, with pint and half-pint pours available. Alongside the signature fish and chips, there are simple bar snacks such as homemade pickles and mixed nuts, making the place an easy fit for beer-first drinking.

The post also notes that the real ale would follow the next day, so the tap list is clearly still evolving. For beer drinkers in Kameido, GRANDPA FISH & CHIPS is the sort of spot where you can check the draft lineup and match it with a straightforward, beer-friendly plate of fish and chips.
