It is a lineup meant to be savored slowly alongside simmered dishes suited to the cold weather.
Tokyo craft beer specialist "Beer Pub Nekoto Azarashi" in Mitaka announced that it will be open on Friday, March 20 (a public holiday) from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The post says, "On chilly days, go with high alcohol and warm food," and the beer lineup includes satisfying, full-bodied options.
A particular highlight is Daisen G Beer’s "Wheat Wine 2023." It is introduced as an aged beer from the 2023 release, with the suggestion that it be enjoyed slowly as its temperature changes. Also on tap is T.Y. Harbor’s "Extreme Chidoriashi" (listed as "BalrayWine"), which the post recommends as a mini-sized pour. It shows consideration for enjoying high-ABV beers without overdoing it.
The day’s taps cover a wide range, from lager, pale ale, and weizen to stout and imperial IPA. Specifically, the lineup includes Yokohama Bay Brewing’s "Bay Dark," Shiga Kogen’s "Pale Ale," Mojiko’s "Wakamatsu Mikan Weizen," Minoh Beer’s "Hoppy Weizen," Minami-Aizu Mountain Brewing’s "HeyYa," Beer Hearn’s "Enmusubi Beer Stout," Asahi’s "Maruefu," and Shiga Kogen Beer’s "Sono Ju."
In addition, backup casks include CYCAD’s "Buzz Honey," Bay Brewing’s "Weekend Journey," and Minami-Aizu’s "Ollie Sour IPA." On the food side, warm dishes such as chili beans, beer motsuni, and clam chowder are planned, along with snack items like roasted mushroom marinade, deep-fried burdock root, and Akaten.
In the Shimorenjaku area of Mitaka, close to the station, it is an easy day to build a relaxed drinking session from the first pint to high-ABV pours. With choices ranging from low-bitterness styles to heavier beers, it should appeal not only to seasoned craft beer drinkers but also to anyone who wants to enjoy a tasting flight.
