THE STADIUM BREWS

In Nagasaki, there’s a place that built a brewery inside a soccer stadium for the first time in Japan.

It’s called THE STADIUM BREWS NAGASAKI. There’s a brewing area on the first floor of Nagasaki Stadium City with 10 tanks lined up, a restaurant on the second floor, and a bar on the third floor.

It’s actually run by the Japannet Group. Their group company, Japanet Water, developed recipes repeatedly at a brewery in Yamanakako, Yamanashi, and eventually arrived at full-scale brewing in the stadium.

Their flagship, V Beer, is great. It has a fruity flavor made with yuko, a rare citrus that grows naturally in Nagasaki, and it’s a beer that fans know well from V-Varen Nagasaki matches.

They have a system for brewing about 100 original beers a year. From staples like pale ale and India pale ale to unique brews using ingredients from Nagasaki, the lineup is broad. They have an annual brewing capacity of 90,000 liters.

Exactly. Even on days without a game, it’s nice to stop by after work and have a drink. Beer brewed fresh in the atmosphere of a stadium is special all on its own.
