THE STADIUM BREWS NAGASAKI to Hold a V-Varen Nagasaki Eve Festival on May 16
The brewery restaurant "THE STADIUM BREWS NAGASAKI" inside Nagasaki Stadium City will hold a V-Varen Nagasaki home-game eve event on May 16. It will feature a toast time and a rock-paper-scissors contest, giving fans a chance to enjoy the night before the match together.
The eve festival, to be held on Saturday, May 16, is a gathering where fans and supporters can come together to talk about the match, with V-Varen Nagasaki's home game set for the following day.
The venue is the brewery restaurant "THE STADIUM BREWS NAGASAKI" inside Nagasaki Stadium City. Known as the first brewery in Japan to brew inside a soccer stadium, it has served beers such as "V Beer," made with Nagasaki's citrus fruit yuko, on game days for V-Varen Nagasaki and Nagasaki Velca.
According to this announcement, evening hours will be 17:00 to 23:00 (food L.O. 22:00, drinks L.O. 22:30). Starting around 20:00, a toast time and a rock-paper-scissors contest will begin, and during the toast time, "V Beer" will be available for 600 yen, 200 yen off the regular price. Mini panels featuring the players' starting lineup board will also be available as prizes, and about 50 people reportedly joined the last event.
Gathering with a beer in hand on the eve of the match, fans can get in sync for the game the next day. With the unique closeness of a brewery attached to a stadium, it looks set to be a night where soccer and craft beer naturally come together.
