Kurayoshi Brewery

Did you know Matsui Shuzo, known for the Kurayoshi whisky distillery in Kurayoshi, Tottori, also operates a beer plant there? This is the starting point of Matsui Shuzo's beer business.

They obtained a beer production license in 2022 and released their first canned beer, "Matsui Beer Kurayoshi," in 2023. The key point is that they apply fermentation management techniques developed through whisky making to beer.

It has a fruity, light aroma, with a clean, crisp finish. It's a simple brew made only with malt and hops, and it's so easy to drink you'll want another before you know it. 350 ml can, 5%.

What's more, they completed the largest beer factory in the San'in region and also offer a draft lager for restaurants called "MATSUI TOTTORI BEER." Brewed with just malt, hops, and water, it's a food-pairing beer with a refreshing taste that doesn't interfere with the meal.

They want local restaurants to be able to serve locally made beer at an affordable price. Their stance is to expand from Tottori to Japan and then to the world. Their aggressive approach even includes using fighter Takeru as the face of a commercial.
