Matsui Shuzo Co., Ltd. announced on August 19 that it will begin shipping the bottled lineup of its Tottori-only business beer brand, MATSUI TOTTORI BEER, to restaurants on August 20, 2026. The series comes in three sizes: 330 ml, 500 ml, and 630 ml, giving restaurants flexibility in how they serve it.

The beer uses only malt, water, and hops. As a lager, it is designed to balance a clean, crisp finish with the aroma and gentle sweetness of malt. The company says it is intended to work well from the first drink through the meal, and notes pairings with dishes such as sashimi, local fish, and meat dishes.

Matsui Shuzo, which operates the Kurayoshi brewery, was founded in 1910 and is headquartered in Kurayoshi, Tottori Prefecture. According to the company profile, its beer plant is located at the third factory in Fukuba-cho, Kurayoshi City. The Kurayoshi distillery page also highlights the local water, the view of Mount Daisen, and the region’s temperature swings as part of the company’s brewing environment.

By limiting distribution to Tottori Prefecture, the company is aiming to offer visitors a beer that feels specific to the place. For restaurants, it adds another local option that can be paired with regional food. See the official press release and company profile for details.
