Dam Brewery Restaurant

Did you know there’s a brewery on the B2 floor of Toranomon Hills that feels like a secret factory? It’s called Dam Brewery Restaurant.

Exactly. And it’s produced by Kenji Sakamoto of August Beer. He used to be at Kirin Brewery and even served as vice president of Kirin USA. He jumped into the craft beer world after knowing the front lines of the big industry inside out.

And the flagship beer is “daily paper -Saison-.” The name means “daily newspaper.” The concept is a beer you’ll want to drink every day, and it’s a saison whose flavor changes with the seasons. It’s light and dry, but with a soft fruity, spicy aroma.

Another interesting one is “dawn brew -Brown Ale-.” It’s a coffee brown ale made in collaboration with Little Darling Coffee Roasters, with roasted bean aroma layered over malt in a single glass.

Exactly. It means “the start of a new day.” And the name “Dam” is interesting too. Back in the Edo period, there was an urban dam in Toranomon that supplied water to the townspeople. Playing on that history, the idea is to make this a place that now connects people through beer.

That’s what makes this place so impressive. The beer, the food, and the space are all created in earnest by true professionals. Stopping by after work for a “day light -IPA-” and enjoying its grapefruit-like citrus aroma sounds perfect, doesn’t it?
