Wouldn't you be surprised to hear there's a brewery restaurant run by a wedding venue in Yokohama Minato Mirai? THE BLISS BREWERY & DINING is on the first floor of Notre Dame Yokohama Minato Mirai.
Mugi
What, a wedding venue is brewing beer?! What is that!
Hop Bro
It's operated by AIGROUP, part of Nippon Ceremony, and opened in August 2024. It's rare in Japan: a restaurant run by a wedding venue that has its own brewing equipment. The concept is interesting too: beer you can enjoy for three rounds.
Mugi
Three rounds? What does that mean?

In other words, it's beer made with the lightness to keep going so the time spent talking with the people you love never has to end. Their recent Sour IPA, "Aelmi," for example, has an ABV of 3.5%, which fits that concept perfectly.
Mugi
Oh, wow! A Sour IPA at 3.5% does sound super easy to drink!

They also released a beer called "Prologue" in collaboration with TAF Brewing. It has an ABV of 4.0%, and they're actively working with other breweries too. They have a dedicated brewer and rotate everything from core beers to seasonal specials.
Mugi
So they do collab beers too! What kind of place is it, location-wise?
Hop Bro
There are terrace seats along the canal, so on nice days you can drink while looking out over the Minato Mirai scenery. Inside, sunlight pours in and the space feels open and airy, and there are power outlets at the counter seats, so it's comfortable even if you drop by alone.

Sour IPA while looking at the canal... that's amazing. Maybe I should stop by while I'm scouting wedding venues, too. (laughs)
