Chigasaki's Green Beach Brewery, also known as Matsunami Base. As the name suggests, "pine" is the key theme here.

Pine? What's pine got to do with beer?
Hop Bro
Plenty. Their flagship is a pilsner called Namabora Lager, brewed with fresh pine buds and young pine cones from Chigasaki - what they call "namabokkuri."
Mugi
What! Pine cones in beer!? What does it taste like?
Hop Bro
A subtle pine aroma layered with the fruity character of hops, plus a pleasantly moderate bitterness and a crisp finish. It's 5% ABV, the kind you keep going back for. It feels like a beer that captures the sea breeze of Chigasaki.
Mugi
Huh, I've never had a pilsner with pine aroma! I'm also curious about the other one, CHOP IPA.
Hop Bro
The location is great too. It's along Hamatake-dori, which runs from Tsujido Station toward the Shiomidai coast, and they even have a small takeout window. Their logo is a pine tree riding a wave, so it really overflows with Chigasaki love.
Mugi
That's so cute! A pine tree surfing? So Chigasaki!
Hop Bro
Inside, they also sell goods imported directly from California, and the food menu includes tacos and fish burgers. Plus, they even grow hops themselves at Midoriga Hama. This is a brewery that's seriously trying to do local production for local consumption.
Mugi
They're growing hops locally too! It looks like they'll have a booth at the Ooka Festival as well, so they're really becoming part of the community. Taco and Namabora Lager by the sea? I want to go right now!
