t0ki brewery releases two Kodo collaboration beers for Earth Celebration 2026
Sado-based t0ki brewery will begin early sales of two collaboration beers, "Live" and "env," on August 21 for Earth Celebration 2026. The beers will be available at the event venue and select stores on Sado Island.
Release overview
Sado-based t0ki brewery in Niigata has announced two collaboration beers for Kodo's Earth Celebration 2026. The lineup includes "Live v1.0," a Session IPA, and "env v2.0," a gose brewed with plum and shiso. Both beers will be available from August 21 in early sales at the Earth Celebration venue and at participating stores on Sado Island.
Live v1.0
"Live v1.0" is a Session IPA at 4.5% ABV and 28 IBU. Brewed with Columbus, Cryo Idaho 7, Idaho 7, Mosaic, and CIP076, it is designed to deliver juicy, refreshing aromatics reminiscent of stone fruit and grapefruit. The base malt was also changed from last year to bring the hop aroma forward more clearly.
env v2.0
"env v2.0" is a Gose w/Ume, Shiso at 4.0% ABV and 13 IBU. Using Tetnanger, the beer is a refreshed version of last year's well-received "env." This year's recipe emphasizes plum aroma and a firmer saline edge, with shiso added for a faint reddish hue. Part of the plum comes from Kodo Village, and the shiso and salt are both sourced from Sado.
Naming
The two beers are connected through the phrase "Live environment," a playful reference to "production" or "live" conditions in computing. It is a fitting concept for a release tied to an event, while also reflecting t0ki brewery's Sado-rooted, seasonal brewing style.
