t0ki brewery published a new beer, "Nanakoro Ale v1.0," on September 5. The product page lists it as a West Coast IPA with 6.5% ABV. Its grist includes 2row, NorthSterpils, ExtraPale, Chittmalt, and Sour malt, while the hop bill features HBC682, Simcoe, Galaxy, Mosaic, Citra, CryoIdaho7, and Strata. The yeast is BRY-97.

According to the brewery, this beer follows last year’s Cloudbase West Coast IPA. For this version, it shifted from a Cold IPA to a West Coast IPA and reworked both the base malt and hop composition. The flavor direction is described as berry-like and herbal, with a pronounced bitterness and a full, satisfying finish aimed at the still-warm season.

Based in Ryotsu on Sado Island in Niigata, t0ki brewery focuses mainly on American-style craft beer. The brewery says all of its beers are limited releases, designed to be enjoyed at a specific moment in time. That philosophy carries through in this release as well, which combines a classic West Coast IPA frame with a seasonal, site-specific sensibility.
