CRAFT PORT FUNABASHI to hold NEUT BREWING's first tap takeover on June 7
The beer pub CRAFT PORT FUNABASHI in Funabashi is set to host its first tap takeover with NEUT BREWING on June 7. It is previewing a lineup centered on hazy IPAs and IPAs, along with foil-baked asparagus and spring onions in season.
CRAFT PORT FUNABASHI, on the second floor in Honcho 1-chome, Funabashi City, has been making its presence felt as a beer pub where people can relax and enjoy craft beer near the station. In a May 25 post, the pub noted that there would be no new beers tapped, but that several taps were close to kicking, suggesting there are a few beers people will want to finish while they can.
The post's hashtags include Aozora Brewery, Yellow Beer Works, Ground Tap Brewery, Black Tide Brewing, Kyoto Brewing, Kobo Brewery, Hiroshima North Beer, Hop Kotan Brewing, and 315 Beer. The lineup suggests a wide range of breweries and makes it easy to imagine a tap list that changes its character from day to day.
On the food side, the foil-baked asparagus and spring onions are being highlighted again. The sweetness of seasonal vegetables and the hot foil-baked dish seem like a great match for hop-forward IPAs and hazy styles. Even without flashy new releases, it has the kind of local beer-pub charm that keeps people entertained through changing taps and a seasonal dish.
In addition, a tap takeover by NEUT BREWING is scheduled for June 7. It is expected to focus on hazy IPAs and IPAs, making it an event worth watching for anyone who wants to slowly savor hop aroma and juiciness. There is also an announcement for the Kampai PASS available through the end of the month, making it an easy stop as part of a Funabashi bar-hopping route.
