What’s inside

Yokohama Beer Brewery, based in Yokohama, Kanagawa, introduced the latest beer in its seasonal "Meguriai" series: the annual limited-batch Odawara Orange Pale Ale. The brewery says it is a once-a-year release and that production is fully limited.

This year’s beer centers on Kiyomi oranges from Akisawa Farm in Odawara. The oranges were matured in a cypress storehouse, then brewed with both peel and juice. The base uses clean spring water from Doshi Village, creating a beer built around fresh orange character.

Brewer Yuko Nogaki also increased the aroma hops slightly this year. That extra hop presence is meant to add brightness and lift to the orange-driven profile, resulting in a beer that the brewery describes as juicy and refreshing for early summer.

Yokohama Beer has long positioned itself as a local brewery that works closely with regional ingredients and producers. This release continues that approach by linking Yokohama and Odawara in a single glass. Orders are being directed through the brewery’s online store, and the beer will be sold until it runs out.
