Yokohama Beer Brewery will release “The Movie Abunai Deka Collaboration Beer – English Dark Mild” in limited quantities on October 3, 2026, as part of the 40th anniversary project “ABDK40+” for the long-running Japanese crime series Abunai Deka.
The collaboration connects the series’ home city with Yokohama’s craft beer scene. Eleven local breweries will each create an original beer inspired by one of the franchise’s 11 television, special, and theatrical releases. For the first release, Yokohama Beer will represent the theatrical film Abunai Deka, while Yokohama Bay Brewing will create a beer inspired by the original television series.
Yokohama Beer’s contribution is an English Dark Mild. Despite its deep black color, the beer is designed with gentle bitterness and restrained roast character, alongside notes reminiscent of dried fruit and caramel. With an ABV of 3.5%, it is a low-alcohol beer intended for a relaxed, extended drinking session—an appropriate companion for revisiting the film’s atmosphere.
The beer will be sold in 330ml bottles for ¥700 before tax. It will be available at Yokohama Beer’s UMAYA restaurant and through the brewery’s official online shop. Online orders will be offered only in sets, with ordering scheduled from October 3 through 11:00 on October 13. Shipping is scheduled to begin on October 16. Additional sales locations include Akarenga Depot at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, Yokohama Burg 13, and T-Joy Yokohama.
Founded in 1999, Yokohama Beer operates a brewery and the UMAYA restaurant in Yokohama’s Naka Ward. The brewery focuses on creating a “hometown beer” that local residents can enjoy with pride, while also developing beers connected to regional ingredients and the city’s culture.
Nine more breweries are scheduled to release their collaboration beers between November 2026 and May 2027. The series will offer fans a chance to explore Yokohama’s brewing community through beers inspired by the different chapters of the franchise.
