Tap update

At KARAKURI -Craft Beer & Oden & Sake- in Kanda, the guest tap lineup now includes Kompas, a collaboration beer from Minoh Beer in Osaka and Yorocco Beer in Kanagawa. The post announces the beer for Tuesday, August 4, 17:00-23:00.

About Kompas

Kompas is brewed as an annual collaboration, with the two breweries visiting each other to make the beer together. This release again uses saison yeast, along with fresh plum shipped from Wakayama. The result is described as having a layered, elegant saison aroma, gentle acidity from the plum, and a light fruit character that makes it especially drinkable in the summer heat.

Why it fits the venue

KARAKURI is a basement beer pub in Kanda that focuses on craft beer, sake, and natural wine, while serving creative dishes centered on oden. That makes it a place where beer is not just a standalone drink, but part of a food-friendly lineup.

Kompas should work well with the pub's oden and fried dishes thanks to its bright, crisp profile. The same post also highlighted a sake menu item, Kariho Rook Oyster Lovers from Kariho Shuzo in Akita, showing how broad the drink selection is at KARAKURI.
