KARAKURI in Kanda Taps Minoh Beer’s Peach Weizen and Shiga Kogen’s IchiJyoRyotoku
KARAKURI -Craft Beer & Oden & Sake- in Kanda has tapped two Japanese craft beers: Minoh Beer’s Peach Weizen Shimizu Hakuto and Shiga Kogen Beer’s IchiJyoRyotoku, a Hazy Belgian IPA.
KARAKURI -Craft Beer & Oden & Sake- in Kanda tapped two beers on September 30, 2026, from breweries the pub has continued to work with.
The first is Peach Weizen Shimizu Hakuto from Minoh Beer in Osaka. It is the third release in the brewery’s annual domestic peach Weizen series, made with plenty of Arakawa peaches from Hakki Farm in Wakayama. Among the four peach varieties used in the series, Shimizu Hakuto is described as having the most pronounced aroma and a distinctly sweet flavor. Bottles have sold out, so this release is available on draft.
The second is IchiJyoRyotoku from Shiga Kogen Beer in Nagano. Brewed as a Hazy Belgian IPA, it combines the character of a hazy beer with that of a saison. Tropical aromas suggest pineapple and mango, followed by citrus notes reminiscent of red orange. Despite its gentle sweetness, the beer finishes dry in classic saison fashion.
KARAKURI specializes in craft beer, sake, warm sake, and natural wine, with creative dishes centered on oden. The two new taps offer a contrasting tasting: one led by fragrant peach and soft sweetness, the other by tropical hop character and a crisp finish. Both should make natural companions to the pub’s warm, casual food-focused atmosphere. The bar is open from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; availability should be checked before visiting.
